Description |
This theater poster features a chromolithograph of "Salvini." His bust portrait is in the center with a laurel over his head and an oval gold frame with spearhead. To the upper left is a scene from MacBeth. In the upper right is a scene of Hamlet's questioning of life. At the bottom left is a scene of Iago and Othello. At the bottom right is Ingonar. An applied billing is glued to the top "MACAULEY'S THEATRE! FRIDAY EVENING & SATURDAY MATINEE, MARCH 11 & 12." |

This poster was found after being used as packing material in miscellaneous containers recovered from the attic of the Speed Art Museum in Louisville. It was deaccessioned by the Speed in 1991 and transferred to the Kentucky Historical Society in 1997. |
