Description |
This is a traveling homeopathic pharmaceutical case. It is black leather covered wood construction with a tinplate band around the mouth. There is a black leather handle on wire D-rings bracketed to that band. There is a steel latch with lock. On the interior there are nickel plated racks for 58 corked glass vials containing powders and pills. The vials are pasted with latin drug names and they are of various sizes. |

From the practice of Owen County doctor Arthur Threlkeld (1862-1942). Dr. Threlkeld was a fixture in Wheatley in Owen County, although he frequently traveled as far as Carroll County. He used a horse and buggy until 1920, when he bought his first Model T. |
