Notes |
Osolnik was born in 1915 and died in 2001. Rude Osolnik was born in 1915 in Dawson, NM, the second child of Austrian immigrants Lucas and Rose Penko and died in 2001. The family moved to Johnson City, IL in 1917, where Rude's father mined coal. Rude began working with wood in high school, under the instruction of John Rohner, who continually encouraged Osolnik to train his hands as well as his eye, and to appreciate aesthetics and good design. |
