This banner is one of ten commemorating the accomplishments and contributions of famous Kentucky women. One side is a caricature of the subject and the other is a printed description of her work. This one is about Julia Marcum, survivor of a Confederate attack on her father's farm on September 7, 1861, and the only woman with full membership in the GAR. |
