Description |
This is a frisbee used as a political advertisement for the Democratic candidates for the 1975 Kentucky General Election. The frisbee is white with dark blue text which reads "DEMOCRATS / UNITED / '75" in the center of the disk. The names Julian Carroll and Thelma Stovall, the candidates for governor and lieutenant governor, are printed in large letters above and below the slogan. The text of the candidate's names is curved to match the shape of the center of the frisbee. Fellow Democrats' names are printed in two columns to either side of the Democrats United '75 slogan. These three names are printed on the left side: Drex Davis (Secretary of State), Bob Stephens (Attorney General), and George Atkins. Three more candidates' names are printed on the right side: Frances Jones Mills (Treasurer), James B. Graham (Superintendent of Public Instruction), and Tom Harris (Commissioner of Agriculture). Martha Layne Collins (Clerk of the Court of Appeals) is printed below the slogan. "Paid for by Democrats United Comm., William F. Haynes, Treas." is printed along the bottom edge of the center of the frisbee. |
