Description |
This is an electric plug and charger for a laptop computer. Part a) is a black plastic electrical plug with a two prong metal male connection. The opposite end is a black plastic female adapter to attach to the charger. Part b) is a charger that is a rectangular black plastic box. It has a male connection for the plug (a). There is a black plastic covered cord with a D/C adapter at the end of the cord. |

This computer belonged to Maj. Gen. John R. Groves, Jr. Groves was appointed to the post of the Adjutant General of the Commonwealth of Kentucky by Gov. Paul Patton on December 12, 1995 and again on December 9, 1999. As adjutant general he served as the principal military advisor to the Governor and as Commander of the Kentucky Army/Air National Guard. In addition to his responsibilities to the KYNG Groves also oversaw the state Divisions of Emergency Management and Air Transport. Groves was born June 18, 1946 and died September 28, 2003 in a plane crash. Groves was a lawyer, architect and a veteran of the National Guard. Groves held many positions in his career including Adjutant General, Associate Dean of the University of Kentucky College of Architecture, UK academic ombudsman, chairman of the UK Academic appeals board, commissioner of the Kentucky Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction, former commander of Troop Command, Detachment 1 State Area Command, former commander of the 201st Engineer Battalion in Ashland, and former commandant of the Kentucky Military Academy. Groves and his wife Barbara have three children, Marshall, Matthew, and Elise. |
