This painting depicts Bridge Street in Frankfort, Kentucky on a snowy day. The foreground features buildings on right side of street, a tree in the center with a carriage on the left and two figures on the right. The left side of the street features a carriage with a team of horses in front of a building. The background features a black fence with a building and trees. The artist's signature is in the lower left corner. |

This painting is known by several titles including 'Bridge Street,' 'Second Street and St. Clair,' and "Snow Scene on St. Clair.' This painting was from the collection of long time Sawyier patron J.J. King. This painting was featured in the exhibition 'A Kentucky Artist: Paul Sawyier (1865-1917)' at Eastern Kentucky University in 1975 and was printed on page 77 of the catalog from the exhibition. |
