Description |
This is a collection of Distinctive Unit insignia. The coppection includes :a) KY Army National Guard Badge, b) 138th Field Artillery Badge, c) 149th Infantry Badge, d) 123rd Armored Badge, e) 146th Armor Brigade Badge, f) 201st Engineer Batallion, g) 623rd Field Artillery, h) 198th Military Police Batallion, i) Adjutant General's Corps, and j) 35th Infantry Division. Part a is a Kentucky Army National guard badge and is a circular brass piece with the image of two hands shaking over a blue enameled background. The blue background has 15 gold stars on it and the inscription around the edge says "FIGHT AS KENTUCKIANS." Part b is a 138th Field Artillery Badge with the motto "READY IN PEACE AND WAR" in a red banner across the top. The center has a gold cannon and bow and arrow with an enameled blue decorative design near the bottom. Part c is a 149th Infantry Badge. It is oval in shape with the mottow "ASSIGN US THE MISSON" in red at the bottom. The center has a gold snake on a blue enameled background. Part d is a 123rd Armored Badge. The piece is shaled like a shield with a blue enameled background with crossed blue and silver stripes. Above the stripe is a snake and under the shield is the motto "ESTO PERPETUA." Part e is a 146th Armor Brigade Badge. The badge has a raised fist in the center with a blue gauntlet that has an image of the sun on it. The hand is grasping a green enameled banner that reads "NEVER DEFEATED." Part f is a 201st Engineer Batallion badge. The badge has a shield at the top with crossed gold stripes. There is a green enameled design at the center and the motto "LIBERTATIS CUSTODES" beneath the shield. Part g is a 623rd Field Artillery badge. The bade features a shield with crossed white stripes at the top with a cactus in the center above a red background with a fleur-de-lis design. Two vertical blue stripes cross the fleur-de-lis pattern and beneath the shield is a blue banner with the motto "SEIZE THE OPPORTUNITY." Part h is a 198th Military Police Batallion badge. The piece is surrounded by a green banner with the motto "SERVICE/ INTEGRITY/ HONOR" and has a red and blue background. The center features a tomahawk. Part i is an Adjutant General's Corps badge. The piece has a shield in the center with a blue field at top with 10 silver stars on it above red and white stripes. The shield is surrounded by gold leaves and is on a larger shield shaped piece with a blue background and red edging. Above the shield is a banner that reads "1775" and below it is a banner that reads "DEFEND AND SERVE." Part j is a 35th Infantry Division badge. The piece is a nonagon with a lige blue background. The foreground has a relief image of a covered wagon being pulled by oxen. |
