Description |
A surrender leaflet. One side of the leaflet features a solider with his hands up in surrender with a thought bubble above his head featuring a family. He is surrendering to another solider standing in front of the United States, Great Britain, and Australian flags. The right side of the leaflet features text in Arabic. The reverse features a "Joint Forces" seal in the center with additional text in Arabic. This Surrender Leaflet is a 6 color leaflet with instructions to Iraqi soldiers on how to surrender and reminding them of their home and loved ones. |

Donated by Robert Andrew Risen, a member of the United States Army who served in the Middle East during the Gulf War. Notes indicate leaflets like this one were dropped by the ton on Iraqi Forces in Iraq and Kuwait during Operation Desert Shield (August 1990 - January 1991) and Operation Desert Storm (January 1991 - February 1991). |
