Description |
This is an Army Combat Uniform (ACU) long-sleeve combat shirt in Operational Camouflage Pattern (OCP). There are inset cotton/spandex panels in the front and back. There are pockets near the shoulder with zipper closure. There are Velcro pads on each arm. (One large on the left and three smaller ones on the right) The pad on the left shoulder also has glint, infrared tape attached near the top and covered with a small tab. This example has integrated elbow pads. The left sleeve has a two-pocket pen holder near the wrist. The cuffs are adjustable with hook and loop closures. |

This US Army uniform was worn by Doug High, news anchor for WTVQ Lexington, while on duty with the United States Naval Reserve in Afghanistan. High's story is similar to many that put their civilian lives on hold to serve in the National Guard and armed forces reserves. |
