Description |
This NCAA Final Four basketball game ticket holder is a clear plastic envelope with paper insert. The paper reads "Indianapolis '97." The top of the envelope has a black Nike "swoosh" logo. At the top of envelope there are two holes where a shoelace is threaded. The shoelace is black and creates a necklace so that ticket holder can be worn. |

The 1996-1997 Kentucky Wildcat men's basketball team lost the championship game to the University of Arizona at the RCA Dome in Indianapolis. Coached by Rick Pitino in this final season at Kentucky prior to coaching for the Boston Celtics, the team finished the season with a 35-5 record. Finishing second in the East division of the SEC, the Wildcats won the SEC tournament and then received the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament as the number one seed.
