Description |
This is a Kentucky State Guard uniform coatee (part a). It is black wool with a nine button closure on the front. Those buttons along with the 18 decorative buttons on the front are brass with the Kentucky seal embossed on them. The coatee has a stand-up collar trimmed in gold braid. Each cuff has thin border of gold braid and four brass buttons. The tail of the coat has two brass buttons at the top of the vent and four on each tail along with gold braid. The collar and tails are lined with dark brown polished cotton. The lining of the body of the jacket is a lighter brown and is quilted. Part b and c are the epaulets. They are a tan felt with blue trim. Each has a fringe of dark tan. The underside is covered in white polished cotton. There is a brass button on top and a brass hook on the underside. |
