Description |
This banner depicts a log cabin with stone chimney that has an animal hide tacked to it. The cabin also has a nine pane window on the near side and a shake roof. The structure has a door and windows on the front. Original sketch done in red pencil or chalk. |
Notes |
This banner was carried in the inaugural parade of Governor Augustus O. Willson. Willson was a Republican from Jefferson County who was elected in 1907. A Harvard law graduate, he was the law partner of John Marshall Helm. He was elected with the support of the former supporters of William Goebel. |
