Description |
This pin commemorates the inauguration of Kentucky governor Augustus E. Willson. The pin is white with blue letters saying, "Reception" and a brass frame around it. The blue and white ribbons cross behind the pinback and come out the top. The blue ribbon says, "Inauguration Gov. Augustus E. Wilson [sic]. The white ribbon says, "Frankfort, KY Dec. 10, 1907". The text on both ribbons is gold. |

Willson was nominated by the Republican Party for Governor in 1907. One of the major issues of the 1907 general election was the issue of temperance or the sale of alcoholic beverages. |
