Notes |
In 1958, a friend asked the donor to help teach a newly established Frankfort Boy Scout troop to march for a Christmas Parade in Frankfort. Several months later, the friend moved away, leaving the donor as Scoutmaster for the troop. The donor served in that capacity for the next 35 years. Starting with just 7 boys, the troop had as many as 50 boys in its heydey in the 1960s. In 2005, the troop numbered 29 boys. When asked why he served for so long, the donor replied, "It gets in your blood, I guess. I enjoy the outdoors." |
