Description |
This is an advertisement with companies on both sides from a directory ad from 1855. The image on the front is of the National Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky, and depicts a huge five story building with people walking and horse carriages and trollies in the street in the front and side of the hotel. The print below the image is the address. The border is a horseshoe type design with decorative circular patterns at the top and bottom of the advertisement. The image on the back is for "W. Lee. White & Co." who was an exchange banking house, and depicts their three story building with their name at the top and the different things they did on other signs on the building. There are four people, two walking and two standing and talking to each other, in front of the building. Their address is under the image with information about the company on the right and left sides. |
