Description |
This is a plastic name tag with a ribbon attached for the reunion of the U.S. Submarine Veterans of World War II in 1980. The nametag has a white paper insert with the black typed name of the donor, "EWERT ELLIOTT", his home state, "KY." and the submarines on which he served, "SEAL; MACABT (should be I)". The gold satin ribbon is adhered to the back of the nametag, is pinked on both ends, has a black drawing of a submarine on water through an arch and black lettering that reads "U.S. SUBMARINE VETERANS/ WORLD WAR II/ 26th NATIONAL/ CONVENTION/ AUG. 20 - 24, 1980/ ST. LOUIS/ MISSOURI". A metal pinback is attached to the back of the nametag. |

This belonged to the donor's husband, Ewert W. Elliott. Ewert and Alene Elliott both were members of the United States Submarine Veterans of World War II (USSVWWII). Ewert served aboard the USS Seal (SS-183) and the USS Macabi (SS-375) submarines in World War II. |
