Description |
This World War II era poster is for the Women's Army Corps. On the left side of the poster is an illustration of a woman in a blue knee-length uniform dress and brown shoes, carrying a silver tray with a white cloth draped over the top of it. Behind the woman are faint depictions of hospital beds. To the right are small images of two silver coins, one showing the head of Pallas Athene and the bottom one showing a caduceus. The top right side of the poster has large blue text that reads, "Women…our wounded need your care." The rest of the poster reads, "You can serve as medical technicians, surgical technicians, and in other Army hospital assignments. Join a hospital company. Other assignments available at Army Air Forces, Ground Forces, and Service Forces installations." The bottom of the poster has a large gray rectangle with white capitalized letters that read, "Women's Army Corps." |
