Description |
This is a blue wool U.S. Air Force Serive Cap. It has two pairs of metal grommet air vents, one on each side. There are two metal buttons, one on each side, that attach to a black leather chin strap that rests above the bill. The bill is lined with black wool and vinyl, and has thunderclouds and lightning embroidered with silver boullion on the top. The interior is lined with a brown leather sweaband. The underside of the crown in has a gray material covered by plastic, and a nylon support. |
Notes |
This belonged to the donor's husband, Samuel P. Martin, who served in the Southwest Pacific in World War II. He had postwar service in the Kentucky Air National Guard. |
